Most hardwood flooring will show scratches, scuffs and dents.  This sometimes discourages people with large pets or small children from purchasing hardwood flooring. 

However, if you know that your floor might be treated a little rougher than normal, what do you do if you still want hardwood? 

Simple!  You select a floor that was designed to look distressed!  When a floor is designed as a distressed product, then adding a few more dings and dents only adds to its character!
